This picture shows a view from the streets of New York in the early 20th century. At first glance, I looked at the image as what could that building possibly be. It took me a second to realize how the angles and colors all are perfectly aligned. The mystery of the picture led me to have a greater understanding of how Dick must have felt in the big city. He was a little man in a big world. Everything would be without a doubt an adventure. To get even deeper into the meaning of the image... perhaps we, as the reader, can look at the building and Dick very similarly. If Dick was on the street looking up at that building, he would be looking up at what would become of him. I do not know if that made entire sense, but the hopes of Dick is like him looking straight at them in an abstract way.

His hope allows him to know right from wrong. In the passage, Dick explains how he would never steal. This is a strong characteristic because he goes far in life when he does not cheat others.

The video portrays the busy life of bustling New York City around the turn-of-the-century. I thought this was appropriate to include because Dick too was feeling the bustling feeling of a new life.
